At least, when I start knitting sock heels. Does that mean starting yet ANOTHER blog? |

-learn enough german/swedish, etc. to read patterns for beautiful mittens and stockings. -make the bayerische socks via eunny jang in this exact yarn which arrives monday (hopefully) -knit a mitered square blanket with kayla -finish all projects that i promise to people: so far, a scarf for alex and jill, a potholder in the shape of a fish for natalie via helen, a cowl for kelso, and a weird armwarmery thing for someone who goes to my church who emailed my mother. |

cast some slippery-sock things in some heavy-ass worsted on one circular needle, successfully producing the toe of a sock that will need some major blocking. so, i managed to incorporate three knitting things i've never done (magic loop, socks, and a toe-up cast-on) in one project. without a pattern (or at least much of a good one). it was just one of those days, you know? |

mason-dixon knitting came in the dekalb public library for me today. excitement! i'm going to return from christmas break with more washcloths than known to woman (and maybe a blanket and slip or two). |

So my addiction to collecting patterns has increased exponentially due to Ravelry; however, my actual knitting output has stayed relatively the same. I do have a few projects on the needles, though. I have a thick simple rib scarf in deep grey on the way, along with simple wristwarmers for myself. I started some Dashings as well; it's been so long since I've knitted anything in the round! Elizabeth Zimmerman is rolling over in her grave. I'm going to start some major scarfing for Christmas(-y) presents, probably soon, but God knows I won't finish half of them until February. This is essentially how I feel about life. |

i've decided not to use a pattern and instead just free-knit, which is what i do best anyway. in any case, here are the two sweater plans i have: or just a standard tiny cardigany thing cables will be involved. |

in an effort to try to get my babyknitting act together, i've been perusing some kid patterns for dani's little boy. should i go with the sherwood? how about some fair isle? i certainly don't like this as much, and i wish magknits would just give up. but it's sort of cute, and i like to knit fair isle, and it looks like i could make it smaller much easier. oh, and someone on craftster crocheted and felted elvis hair. lord |

Current projects: -scarves for assorted people -baby blanket for Dani's baby -regular sized blanket for myself, which i've actually been working on for years but found the last time i was home. god, my crafting is boring these days. |

For ages, I've been looking for a nice knitted afghan pattern. Normally I hate MagKnits, but this is nice. I wonder when a new Knitty will be up. Incidentally, these are adorable. |

if you were a particularly queer patch or button, what would you say? if you were a crafted object designed to be given away at door prize at a safer sex workshop, what would you be? |

Organized my yarn in a fit of...something the other night. Arranged it in a rainbow; I felt it fitting. ![]() We have weird spots on our apartment carpet. This may seem like a lot but I've seen much, much worse. Why do I have so much acrylic? |

apres le forum social, i'm planning on stealing a bunch of activist type phrases and knitting them into things, hats and scarves and mittens and such. maybe sweaters, too; in essence, i will be stealing sweaters like my favorite online knitter so often does. i'm no longer feeling creative in my life and sort of want to sleep for years. i'm recreating a timesheet for the past month and feel very much like i didn't do anything important. i certainly haven't been knitting or reading or listening to music or being nice in general. at least it feels that way, but i'm one to count moments as entire blocks of time, which is not entirely fair. |

at an impromptu coffee meeting yesterday, i talked with someone knitting a bag out of hemp, and think that it knits up stiff enough for flogging capabilities. i'm still nervous about that, though. |

The Anticraft before. But I think that I want to adapt this chart, excising the heart, to put on a sweater. Hm? There is also an article on asparagus. There is also definitely a pattern for a fetus coin purse, which is much more scandalous than a uterus in my opinion. OMFG 5 hours until my Women's Studies exam, followed by two hours of sheer craziness as I prepare for theatre. I hope it won't be as bad as I think it will be. I cannot wait to be done with all of my work for the year. The library is going to kill me for all the books I have out that are overdue. I'm never going to get a good job as a librarian with all this bad librarian karma. Thanks to anti-sweatshop organizations and salad tossing, I'm gainfully employed this summer. |

I know that my posts these days have basically been patterns I want to remember to knit in the future, but I really haven't been knitting much lately, which I'll ashamedly admit. That said, a knitted parasol? If you didn't have to destroy an umbrella to make it, I probably very much would. Does Mongolia get cold? Apparently not. Is it too late in the year to knit mittens for a birthday present? God, I can't wait for school to be over so I can knit/write letters/read books not for class again. It's strange how basically all I want to do is read, as far as summer goes, and that's what I'm doing right now, just frantically. |

Naughty Needles supplementary site, I ran across that Nikol Lohr is planning on hosting a knitted burlesque show. On my birthday, nonetheless. Alas, it's 1) on commencement day, and 2) in Kansas City, so there will be no Caro there. I think, though, that I just might knit them some pasties. Not Grover ones, though.
